“He is risen indeed!”
At least that’s the traditional response. We have a family story, though, which has spawned a family tradition. One Easter when our boys were younger, their daddy greeted them that morning with, “He is risen!” The response? “Cool!” Hey, it’s hard to argue with that. Certainly I can’t think of anything cooler than a risen Christ!
This morning when our son called, he was greeted on the phone with “He is risen!” His response? “Cool!”
I don’t think Jesus minded one bit.
Christ, the Lord, is risen today, Alleluia!

Susan, I heard wonderful story in Sunday School this morning. In Russia an atheist was speaking to a large gathering of people to try to convince them there was no Christ. He spoke for a very long time. After he finished a priest stood to address the crowd. All he said was the traditional Easter greeting, "He is Risen." The auditorium stood and replied, "He is risen indeed!" I thought that was an awesome story that you would enjoy!
Awesome, indeed! Love it! Thanks for sharing that, Shawna.
